- On October 15, 1998, FanFiction.Net was founded. Linkin Park fen soon started publishing their fan fiction on the site.
- On September 12, 2002, FanFiction.Net banned all Real Person Fic from their site. Linkin Park fen started publishing to several sites include fanfictionlog, Soup Fiction and FanDomination.Net. They also moved part of their community to LiveJournal communities. One of the early and important ones was fanficdotnet.
- In February of 2003, fanficdotnet was deleted from LiveJournal after a kerfluffle involving story quality. (Herongale)
- On February 1, 2003, in response to the deletion of the LiveJournal community fanficdotnet, the LiveJournal community music_fic was created. (Herongale) It would host Audioslave, Eighteen Visions, Fall Out Boy, Foo Fighters, Good Charlotte, Green Day, HIM, Hoobastank, Linkin Park, Lostprophets, Mest, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Rancid fan fiction.
- On May 29, 2003, the LiveJournal community parkslash was founded. [1]
- On September 11, 2003, the LiveJournal community punkvamps was founded. [2] It would host Anne Rice (Fandom), Good Charlotte, Green Day, Linkin Park, The 69 Eyes fan fiction.
- On December 13, 2003, fanfictions was founded on LiveJournal as a place for people to post BandFic. Among the fandoms represented was Good Charlotte, Linkin Park, Mest, New Found Glory, Simple Plan, and The Used. [3]
- On August 14, 2004, after the closure of fanfictionlog, LPFiction.Com was created as an archive to host Linkin Park fan fiction. (Herongale)
