[edit] Introduction
The Original Naruto Fanfiction Archive, otherwise known as TONFA, originated as a Naruto version of the Penultimate Ranma Fanfic Index in October of 2003. After only a few months, the site was all but abandoned and would have continued to grow dust but for the chance of happening on the eFiction archival script. In the summer of 2004, TONFA was reopened as a general Naruto Fanfiction Archive.
The Original Naruto Fanfiction Archive[1], or TONFA, is an fanfic archive dedicated to Naruto fic. It's been around since 2003, though when it started it was a Naruto fic rec site; it was only in mid-2004 when it changed from rec to archive.
The archive is seperated into 12 catagories, with a catagory for non-Naruto work. These catagories, in turn, are further seperated into sub-catagories, with an appropriate section for R and X-Rated work. As of now, there is no hosting for fanart - it is simply a fic archive.
The Archive membership is currently open.
[edit] The Archivists
Since November 22, 2007 the archive is owned and maintained by Tucka (but it's still on Priest's server), the daily running of the site/interfacing with the authors is mostly left up to Yuidirnt. There are also moderators for every category of the archive.

[edit] Archive Funding
The original funding of the archive was done out of the pocket of the administrator. When the site moved to it's new server in 2006, the cost of upkeep was split half and half between what Priest could cover, and what donations the users of the site were willing to give.
[edit] Archive Size
As of May 23, 2008, the site had 1635 authors, 6212 members. There have been 14957 reviews written about for 914 stories. [10]
